These are the MAPSS. The MAPSS stands for Mobility Activation Posture Strength and Synergy. How the MAPSS read from top clockwise; Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Void and in the middle is the Sanskrit symbol for Heart. To go further into detail Mobility=Air+Water, Activation=Water+Earth, Posture=Earth+Fire, Strength=Fire+Void and Synergy= All Elements embraced by the Heart.
The circle that surrounds us is the Void or World we live in and the smaller circles are representing what we fill this world with. Most of us have this void so filled with circles that we have lost the path or way back to the connection with our heart. We feel confused and sometimes feel misguided. We have simply lost touch with ourselves and are looking for ways to reconnect.
The black that fills each of the bigger circles/Void represents stages of understanding. This is after you begin to clean the out the clutter in your world and begin viewing this path balanced with its own nature.
Stages of Understanding from top left clockwise;
1st stage -the path is begun with the understanding of Light and Dark (equal in nature) but the darkness (for many reasons) surrounds the Heart .
2nd stage- as you practice more this darkness begins to go away from the heart but is still present in your life.
3rd stage- you are confronted (by yourself) with all the darkness that you have hidden away or have tried to forget about. This is due to the opening of the doors of the Mind and Heart, you will open doors that have been left closed or locked away for years. Only by understanding these fears and pains can you move on into the stillness of the conscious.
4th stage-you understand the Light and the darkness will always surround you but now you know how to move within it.
This understanding needs to be personal and then universal as we all share pain and fear. The problem that lies within today is that we share pain and fear more than Love. So we make everyone around us as weak as we are being instead of finding strength in ourselves and seeing it in others. If your are holding someone up with weak legs, how can you ever expect them to be strong enough to hold someone else up. Whereas when you hold them up with understanding, strength and confidence they will be able to do the same for others. This all comes with, I want to say time but that time thing will only get in your way because then you have “TO MAKE TIME FOR IT”. The practice is always in the moment/now, you may need to tweak a little because your at work etc. but understanding yourself is always present. In case you have forgotten you are always with yourself and you don’t need to do a Down Dog, put your foot behind your head, say Namaste or Om to get you where you want to be. These may help but they will not fix you. You will fix you. The heart is in the middle of this all because it is this that will make or break us. You hear broken heart all the time but what of the ones that are together? They get broken by us because we don’t “take the time” to fix our own.
This is a practice of Being not just Seeing.
